Princess Riley Bear Benefit Golf Outing
From the Facebook page:
"Each year, we join efforts with the Cure Tay-Sachs Foundation (CTSF), an organization solely dedicated to funding research projects that provide HOPE for developing a treatment and/or cure for Tay-Sachs, and its allied diseases. Since June 2007, the CTSF has been instrumental in raising over $2.5 MILLION for gene therapy trials. Riley’s golf supporters alone have contributed over $88,000.
Riley succumbed to Sandhoff, an allied disease of Tay-Sachs, at the age of six in November 2008. This debilitating disease took away her ability to reach certain milestones, such as: crawling, walking, talking, eating and swallowing. It eventually stole her vision, her ability to laugh and cry and ultimately her life. We know she would want us to continue fighting the battle for those who still suffer, and for those awaiting their dreaded diagnosis. It also helps us keep her memory alive!"
