Sturges-Young Auditorium Concerts With GuitarsThe Sturgis, Michigan Council of the Arts presents many exciting stage performances each year at the Sturges-Young Auditorium. Swinging Sammy Kaye and his Orchestra were the first touring performers to appear on this stage. The late great Duke Ellington made his final appearance at the auditorium. For over 50 years, the 969 seat theater has charmed guests with the best professional and local talent available.To get to the theater from Coldwater, take US-12 west. Once you enter Sturgis, pass 2 stop lights. At the third light, (Nottawa) turn right (North). At the next light, the Sturges-Young will be located on the North-East corner of the intersection. Parking is accessible on the North and East sides of the building. From time to time, the Sturges-Young hosts a concert or banquet featuring guitars. Those events can be found in the schedule below. NOTE: The 2/14/15 event is a special Valentine's dinner-dance: "Treat your Sweetheart to an incredible evening of Dining and Dancing. The Chef has prepared a tantalizing menu for you to choose from while dancing to a '50s rock dance/cover band." |
